The app

Konflux keeps what it knows on your computer: settings, a log of the chats you open, your notes, and your sign-ins in the system keyring. It has no telemetry, analytics or crash reporting. It talks to Twitch, YouTube and Kick, to the emote services (7TV, BetterTTV, FrankerFaceZ), and to a third-party service for a Twitch chat’s recent messages. The only Konflux servers it contacts are the update check and, when you sign in to Kick, a sign-in helper that keeps nothing. YouTube chat is read without your Google account, cookies or a session ID. The chat log leaves your computer only if you set up the archive sync, which is off.

Two defaults matter most: the chat log keeps everyone’s messages forever until you change Keep messages for, and Read Twitch chat as your own account is on, so you appear in the chatter list of every Twitch channel you open.

This website

• No cookies, and nothing kept in your browser’s storage.
• No analytics, no visitor counting and no advertising.
• Nothing is loaded from other servers: the fonts, the pictures and the search are files on this site. Links to other places, such as the download files on updates.konflux.app, are followed only when you click them.
• Outside the docs, only the Download page has a script: it reads which system your browser says it runs on, to show that download first. It works in your browser only, and sends and keeps nothing. The docs pages use scripts for the search, the menu and the list of sections on small screens, marking where you are in that list, the copy buttons on commands, and following your system’s light or dark setting.
• The docs search runs in your browser. As you type, it fetches the parts of its index it needs from this site, and nothing from anywhere else.

When you open a page

This site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver a page, Cloudflare’s servers receive your internet (IP) address, the address of the page, the time, and what your browser sends with every request, such as its name and version. Cloudflare also uses them to protect the site from attacks. The download files on updates.konflux.app are delivered by Cloudflare in the same way.

If a connection to the site fails, Cloudflare asks browsers that support it (Chrome and Edge, for example) to send it a short report about the failure, so it can find faults in its network (Network Error Logging). A page that loads normally sends no report.

• Why: to deliver the site and keep it safe. That is a legitimate interest, the legal basis under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
• Who processes it: Cloudflare, on this site’s behalf, under its data processing addendum (Art. 28 GDPR). Cloudflare is a US company. It is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, on which transfers to the US rest (Art. 45 GDPR).
• How long: this site keeps no logs of its own and does not use Cloudflare’s visitor analytics. How long Cloudflare keeps these details is set out inCloudflare’s privacy policy.
• Do you have to: without your internet address, a page cannot reach you, so the site cannot be shown without it.

When you write

If you write to contact@konflux.app or erik@konflux.app, your address and your message are used to answer you, a legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). They arrive on a mail server that the person responsible runs, not at a mail company. They are deleted once the conversation is over, unless the law requires keeping them.

Messages to Kirehb on Discord are covered by Discord’s own privacy policy. This site only links to Discord.

Your rights

You have the right:

• to know what is kept about you (Art. 15 GDPR), and to have it corrected (Art. 16) or deleted (Art. 17);
• to have its use restricted (Art. 18), and to receive it in a form you can take elsewhere (Art. 20);
• to object, at any time, to its use on the basis of a legitimate interest (Art. 21);
• to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one where you live (Art. 77).

To use them, write to the person responsible (above). Nothing on this site is used for automated decisions or profiling.
